About Us:

Women Helping Women (WHW) is a 501(c) 3 organization founded in 1973 to serve women and men who are survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence and stalking in Southwestern Ohio. For 45 years now, we have heeded a call to serve our community with expertise and compassion. Our mission is to prevent gender-based violence and empower all survivors. We believe that a world without gender-based violence is possible, and that all members of our caring community can live in a world of equality, health and vitality. WHW provides evidence-based prevention and expert crisis intervention and support services for survivors of dating violence, sexual violence, domestic violence and stalking in Hamilton and Butler, Ohio Counties (including sexual violence crisis services to Brown and Adams Counties). WHW operates from a public health framework that is survivor centric and promotes diversity and inclusion as core operating values. All of our services are 100% at no cost to survivors and youth receiving prevention services. In 2018, we served a record-breaking number of survivors—nearly 7,500. We also educated nearly 4500 students with prevention of dating violence and sexual violence. This record-breaking number reflects the critical need to continue our mission and further our cause.
