Bars, breweries & restaurants are critical spaces to prevent gender-based violence proactively. In 2017, WHW launched BRAVE Bar to train & empower the region’s service industry as part of the solution.
Training
BRAVE Bar Training educates bar, brewery, and restaurant owners, managers, and staff about intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and stalking. By partnering with the front of the house and back of the house, hospitality staff is empowered to identify warning signs that may lead to sexual violence and activate as Upstanders to prevent or intervene in targeting and violence. Since the beginning of the program, WHW has trained 20+ bars, breweries, and restaurants!
